Wolves closer to division title

MILWAUKEE - Defenseman Philip Holm delivered in the fifth round of the shootout to propel the Chicago Wolves to a 4-3 victory over the Milwaukee Admirals on Tuesday night at UWM Panther Arena.

Not only did the Wolves (40-22-7-4) push their Central Division lead over the Manitoba Moose, Grand Rapids Griffins and Rockford IceHogs to 3 points with three games to play, they eliminated Milwaukee (38-30-4-2) from playoff consideration.

Defenseman Jake Bischoff and forwards Paul Thompson and Teemu Pulkkinen scored in regulation for the Wolves while T.J. Tynan handed out two assists. Oscar Dansk (11-2-4) stopped 24 shots in regulation and overtime and 4 of 5 attempts in the shootout to earn the win.

Anders Lindback (31-20-4) made 22 saves for the Admirals in regulation and overtime.
