Wolves take down Moose in OT

Teemu Pulkkinen blasted home a slap shot 49 seconds into overtime to lead the Chicago Wolves to a 4-3 victory over Manitoba on Friday night at Allstate Arena.

Pulkkinen's heroics enabled the Wolves to push their point streak to 13 games - one shy of the franchise record set in 2007 and equaled in 2010 - and slowed a Central Division-leading Manitoba squad that had lost just two of its previous 18 games.

The Wolves' Brandon Pirri and Manitoba's Buddy Robinson each produced a hat trick during regulation. Robinson's rebound goal with 1.2 seconds left forced extra time for the Moose (24-6-2-2).

Wolves goaltender Max Lagace (10-2-2) posted 21 saves to earn the win while AHL All-Star Michael Hutchinson (14-2-3) stopped 30 shots in the loss.
