Girls golf: Stevenson finishes 12th in Class 2A

At Hickory Point Golf Club in Decatur, Stevenson settled for 12th place in the Class 2A state tournament with a two-day total of 673.
Sophomore Joyce Bai (165) and freshman Kelly Dong (166) finished 65th (tie) and 69th (tie), respectively, to pace Stevenson. The Patriots counted the rounds Saturday of Dong (82), Bai (83), senior Olivia Stomberg (84) and freshman Sophia Zhuang (87).
New Trier captured the state championship with a 603. Barrington (613) edged Hinsdale Central (619) for second place.
