Police: Man critically injured in Aurora shooting
A 22-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition after he was shot Wednesday in Aurora, police said.
Shortly after 3 p.m., city dispatchers received 911 calls reporting a gunshot victim near Fifth Avenue and Bangs Street in an east side neighborhood. Officers found an Aurora man suffering from gunshot wounds inside a vehicle.
Aurora paramedics took the man to a hospital. No other injuries were reported.
Detectives are investigating the circumstances of the shooting, police said Thursday.
Evidence technicians also responded to the shooting area.
