Domanico's Steakhouse in Lake Barrington closing at end of the year

Domanico's Steakhouse in Lake Barrington will close at the end of the year, its owners announced Monday.

The restaurant at 28686 W. Northwest Highway opened in the fall of 2021, serving steaks and seafood along with classic cuisines of Italian trattoria and Spanish tapas. Its owners previously operated Tapas Calpe in Cary.

"It was great to see all of our previous customers from Tapas Calpe and an absolute privilege to meet so many people from the local Barrington community," owners Jon and Nick Domanico wrote in the closing announcement posted on Facebook. "We thank you for all your support over these past two years. We also wish to thank our loyal and excellent work staff who were unbelievable in their skill and craft; and we wish a sincere thank you to our investors who had faith in us and remain committed through these difficult economic times."

The restaurant's final day will be Saturday, Dec. 30, the owners said.
