Bartlett teen facing battery, robbery charges after attack

A 19-year-old Bartlett man is accused of robbing a woman during an attack late last month outside an apartment complex.

Bartlett police said Guillermo Bonilla grabbed a woman walking along the 100 block of Hillcrest Lane near the Bartlett Terrace apartment complex just after 1:30 p.m. Oct. 29 and stole her phone, keys and money.

Police were alerted after the woman began yelling for help.

Investigators eventually located Bonilla nearby. Police said Bonilla appeared to need medical attention, and he was transported to a hospital.

Robbery and battery charges were filed against Bonilla Nov. 3.

Bonilla was granted pretrial release after an initial court hearing. His next court date is slated for Dec. 8 at the Cook County courthouse in Rolling Meadows, authorities said.
