FBI: Man robbed Chase bank in Lombard; still at large

The FBI is searching for a man suspected in the armed robbery of a Lombard bank Wednesday afternoon.

No injuries were reported in the holdup, which occurred about 12:21 p.m. at the Chase Bank on the 200 block of Roosevelt Road, authorities said.

The suspect showed a handgun, demanded money and fled on foot, according to the FBI. He is still at large.

Authorities did not indicate whether the man escaped with money or how much.

The man was last seen wearing a tan or beige jacket, a black beanie-style hat and a blue surgical mask. He's described as an older man having a thin build and standing about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall.

The suspect may be experiencing a loss of facial skin pigmentation generally associated with the autoimmune disorder vitiligo, FBI officials said.

The FBI on Thursday released photos of the robbery to try to identify the suspect. Members of the public can report tips at (312) 421-6700 or via tips.fbi.gov (even anonymously).
