DuPage State's Attorney Berlin to discuss crime trends, elimination of cash bail

DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin will discuss local crime trends, restorative justice programs and changes to the SAFE-T Act during the next Civic Awareness Series program at Cantigny Park in Wheaton.

The speaker series is sponsored by Cantigny and the League of Women Voters.

Berlin will provide data on countywide crime trends and a look at the county's restorative justice programs. Berlin also served on a SAFE-T Act working group. The sweeping criminal justice reform package eliminated cash bail on Sept. 18.

Berlin's presentation will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, in the Le Jardin room at Cantigny Park at 1S151 Winfield Road in Wheaton. It also will be offered virtually via Zoom; sign up for the link at cantigny.org.
