Who has resigned at Des Plaines city hall?
A top administrator at Des Plaines city hall has resigned.
John Carlisle, who oversees new commercial developments and other projects as community development director, is stepping down effective Oct. 2, city spokeswoman Maureen Stern confirmed Tuesday.
"We wish him the best in his future endeavors," Stern said.
No explanation was given. Carlisle has held the job since 2021.
Carlisle didn't attend Monday's city council meeting. Rather, Assistant Director Ryan Johnson handled community development-related issues before the council.
