Naperville Municipal Band awards annual scholarships

The Naperville Municipal Band has awarded its annual scholarships to eighth-grade students at every middle and junior high school in Naperville Unit District 203, Indian Prairie Unit District 204, and Saints Peter and Paul and St. Raphael schools.

The $250 scholarships were based on nominations from the schools' music directors. The money can be used for private lessons, summer band camps or to purchase a new instrument.

Honorees include: Fischer Middle School's Elise Carter; Kennedy Junior High School's Ethan Chang; Crone Middle School's Annabelle Cheng; Jefferson Junior High School's Nicholas Chou; Washington Junior High School's Sophia Granholm; St. Raphael School's Kevin Grobl; Granger Middle School's Elisabeth Mendoza; Thayer J. Hill Middle School's Carlos Olvera Toledo; Lincoln Junior High School's Titus Park; Scullen Middle School's William Petty; Madison Junior High School's Ian Rottersman; Saints. Peter and Paul School's Jacob Salvacion; Still Middle School's Tyler Talaga; and Gregory Middle School's Maxwell Teets.
