KidsMatter, Century Walk unveiling student murals in downtown Naperville

KidsMatter and the Century Walk art group are unveiling student murals this weekend at the Van Buren Parking Deck in downtown Naperville.

All five Naperville-area high schools will be represented, including Naperville Central and Naperville North from Naperville Unit District 203, and Metea Valley, Neuqua Valley and Waubonsie Valley from Indian Prairie Unit District 204.

The free event begins at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Van Buren Parking Deck, 50 S. Main St. in Naperville. The afternoon will include a ribbon-cutting by Naperville Mayor Scott Wehrli at 2:30 p.m.

Each lobby of the five floors of the parking deck will be represented by a mural from students at a specific high school. The school's song also will be playing in each lobby.
