Student brings 3 rounds of ammo to Elmhurst elementary school
Visitation Elementary School in Elmhurst was placed on a soft lockdown at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday after a student brought three rounds of ammunition to the school to show other students.
Another student, seeing the bullets, told their parent; the parent told school administrators, who then called the police. Elmhurst police searched the school and the student. No weapons were found, and the bullets were confiscated.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
