Spark Aurora screening film March 22 about early education

Spark Aurora will host a community screening of the 2019 documentary "No Small Matter" on Wednesday, March 22, at Copley Theatre, 8 E. Galena Blvd. in Aurora.

The film, with subtitles in Spanish, will be followed by a discussion focusing on the importance of early childhood education.

There will be opening remarks by West Aurora Unit District Superintendent Jeff Craig.

The panel will feature David Faich, policy manager for Raising Illinois; Lynor Johnson, executive director of Fox Valley Montessori School; Laura Manzanos Somoza, bilingual preschool teacher at East Aurora Unit District 131; and Samantha Olivas, parent and member of the SPARK Parent Advisory Council.

The event will be moderated by Indian Prairie Unit District 204 Superintendent Adrian Talley.
