Investigation of shots fired at Lindenhurst residence ongoing

Police investigated reports Friday of shots fired at a Lindenhurst home and found no victims inside.

At approximately 1:30 a.m. Friday morning, a caller reported hearing gunshots outside of the residence on the 500 block of Deerpath Drive, according to a news release from the Lindenhurst Police Department.

No one was found inside the residence, and officers said they believe it was an isolated incident.
