Bradley Martin: 2022 candidate for Illinois House 17th District

Occupation: Since June 2020 Martin has been the executive director of the Near East Center for Strategic Studies in Skokie. He's also deputy editor for the Canadian Institute for Jewish Research in Montreal, Quebec, and is a senior fellow of the Haym Salomon Center News and Public Policy Bureau in Buffalo Grove.

Previous offices held: This is Martin's first campaign for public office.

Background: Martin, a black belt in Kyokushin karate, earned a bachelor of arts in history and Judaic studies from Concordia University, Montreal, and a master's in Judaic studies also from Concordia. He received a master of arts degree in government from IDC Herzliya, Israel, specializing in counter terrorism, homeland security and cyber security. He served as an intern at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism in Herzliya, and at the Canadian Institute for Jewish Research.

Introduction: An expert in the field of counterterrorism, Martin's three main issues in this election cycle are public safety, school choice and Illinois' economic climate. Martin advanced unopposed out of the Republican primary election.
