Elgin Public Museum to host King Tut-themed gala fundraiser

The Elgin Public Museum will celebrate its 102nd birthday with a gala fundraiser Saturday, Nov. 12.

The museum, located in Lords Park, is seeking financial support to bring more exhibits and educational programs to the community.

The gala is scheduled for 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at museum, 225 Grand Blvd. It will honor the 100th anniversary of the discovery of King Tut's tomb and feature Middle Eastern cuisine, entertainment, raffles and a silent auction.
