Public invited to provide input on Naperville Streetscape Project

The public is invited to provide input on the next phase of Naperville's Downtown Streetscape Improvement Project.

The city's Transportation, Engineering and Development Business Group will host the public session from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the NEU meeting room at the Naperville Municipal Center, located at 400 S. Eagle St.

Preliminary design options for the second phase of the Streetscape Project - which aims to rebuild Washington Street between Chicago and Benton avenues and the east side of Main Street just south of Van Buren Avenue - will be discussed.

Construction, tentatively scheduled to begin in the summer of 2023, will include utility repair and upgrades, streetscape modernization and complete road construction. The updates will improve pedestrian mobility, accessibility and safety in the area.

Those unable to attend the session can email rubushk@naperville.il.us until Nov. 15. For more information about the project, visit naperville.il.us/dtstreetscape.
