No injuries in Elk Grove house fire

There were no injuries in a Friday night house fire in Elk Grove Village.

The village fire department responded to the 1630 block of Iowa Drive about 7:30 p.m. and put the fire out in roughly 20 minutes. The Roselle and Itasca fire departments also assisted.

The home is uninhabitable until repairs can be made.

According to Elk Grove Village's fire department, a preliminary investigation shows the fire most likely started on the back deck, though the cause is still unknown.
