Women's art show to debut at Oakton Community College next week

Oakton Community College in Des Plaines will host a women's art show starting next week.

Dubbed "Our Bodies, Our Health: Navigating the Wars Within and Around Us," the exhibition launches Oct. 13 and runs through Nov. 10 at Oakton's Koehnline Museum of Art, 1600 E. Golf Road.

Admission is free.

The exhibition is presented by Oakton's Women's and Gender Studies program and features the work of artists from around the world.

A public reception for the artists is set for 5 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 13 at the museum.
