Volunteers sought to lead school tours at Volo Bog

Volo Bog State Natural Area, 28478 Brandenburg Road in Ingleside, is seeking volunteers to lead guided tours and other programs for school groups visiting on field trips.

Current openings are weekly on Wednesdays. Candidates for the Youth Program Naturalists would work with groups of up to 15 students from second grade through high school.

Those applying should be interested in learning about and sharing information about Volo Bog from its glacial beginnings through its ecological and historic significance to its status as an Illinois Nature Preserve. Training is provided with volunteers and staff.
