Oaktober tree and shrub sale set for Sunday
"Oaktober Celebration: Tree and Shrub Sale" will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Ryerson Conservation Area, 21950 Riverwoods Road, Riverwoods. Visitors can purchase native trees and shrubs for their yard. Plant inventory is limited and available first come, first served. Nature-themed activities and guided tours of the autumnal woodland are scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. A touch table, crafts and kid-friendly nature activities are part of the family-friendly event. There is no admission charge. Registration is not required. Visit LCFPD.org/OAKtober.
