Elgin man charged with gunrunning

An Elgin man has been charged with gunrunning.
Antonio D. Elliott, 27, of the 300 block of Yarwood Street, is also charged with two counts of armed violence, three counts of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, and five counts of manufacture or delivery of cannabis, according to the Kane County Circuit Court Clerk's website. It says the incident happened July 6. The charges were filed Sept. 23. His next court date is Oct. 5.
He is being held on $200,000 bail, according to the Kane County sheriff's website.
When asked for details, Elgin police directed the Daily Herald to file a Freedom of Information Act request for police records.
The Kane County state's attorney's office could not be immediately reached for comment Monday morning.
