Libertyville hosting open house Thursday on Rockland Road flood reduction project

An open house on the Rockland Corridor Flood Reduction Project will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Libertyville village hall, 118 W. Cook Ave.

Phase 2 of the project, which began this week, will upgrade the storm sewer infrastructure to reduce flooding throughout the neighborhood. Phase 1 was previously completed along Rockland Road.

The work that began this week encompasses portions of Lincoln, Fourth and Seventh avenues and Windsor and Wrightwood Terrace.

All are invited to the open house to learn and ask questions about the project. A map of the work area is at libertyville.com.
