Arrest made in Naperville shots-fired case

Naperville police have arrested a man accused of unlawfully firing a weapon.

No injuries were reported in the shooting, which occurred about 6:15 p.m. Tuesday on the 2600 block of St. Albans Circle. Police responded after receiving reports of shots fired and an armed man walking in the area.

 

After interviewing witnesses, officers recovered a handgun and arrested Shabaz A. Chaudhry, 25, of the 2500 block of Durango Lane in Naperville. He is charged with four felonies, including reckless discharge of a firearm, aggravated assault and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
