Wauconda Park District hosting open house on Osage Park plan

The Wauconda Park District is hosting an open house on a master plan for Osage Park from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at the community center, 600 N. Main St.

Residents and park users are asked for feedback to help the district design and improve a more active park. Planned amenities include a small outdoor fitness area, revitalized tennis and basketball courts, pickleball courts, and an asphalt futsal court. Those who can't attend can contact Executive Director Tim Staton to provide comments at (847) 526-3610 or by email at tstaton@waucondaparks.com.

Public input is an important part the application for a state grant to improve the park, according to the district. Visit https://www.waucondaparks.com/ for more information and to see the proposed master plan.
