Sheriff's office says employees at 6 businesses sold alcohol to minors
Six employees at Lake County businesses have been accused of selling alcohol to minors.
The Lake County sheriff's office said Monohar T. Grandham, 60, Justin Defnil, 52, Abbas Adeel, 51, Michael E. Andersen, 59, Janusz S. Stopa, 61, and Carl J. Elitz, 27, were ticketed as the office conducted compliance checks at 54 businesses across the county.
The six businesses where employees were cited were a CVS in Third Lake, a Mobil gas station in Beach Park, a Mobil station near Gurnee, a Marathon gas station in Beach Park, a Citgo gas station in Beach Park, and a 7-Eleven near Deerfield, authorities said.
Notice of the violations will be sent to each business's liquor license jurisdiction.
