Ela Township History Day set for Sept. 4

The inaugural Ela Township History Day and Antique & Artisan Market will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4.

The free event at the Ela Historical Society and Museum, 95 E. Main St., Lake Zurich, combines an antique and artisan market in the museum's parking lot as well as historical demonstrations from a local group of Native Americans, Civil War re-enactors and blacksmiths, among others, in the park.

Apple cider doughnuts and cider will be for sale, there will be free kid's games and Native American crafts will be sold for a small fee.
