Campton Township hosts annual Prairie Fest Saturday

Hayrides, music and fun await at Campton Township's annual Prairie Fest on Saturday, Aug. 13.

The festival, which is free, will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the historic Corron Farm located at 7N761 Corron Road.

The festival highlights the prairie restoration and the farm, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Festivalgoers can enjoy hayride tours of the oak savanna and prairie, farm tours, music, children's games and activities and various exhibits. Restored 1800s carriages and a sleigh, farm equipment, Civil War letters, early photos, sheet music and vintage postcards also will be on display.
