Villa Park Knights hosting community BBQ July 23
The Knights of Columbus Fr. John Barrett Council 8365 is hosting a Summer "Knights" Community BBQ from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at St. Alexander Church, 300 S. Cornell in Villa Park.
It will feature smoked brisket, pulled pork, burgers, hot dogs, roasted corn on the cob, baked beans, coleslaw and chips. There also will be music, games and a raffle to win a portable gas Weber grill, Yeti cooler, sports tickets and more.
Cost is $10 for a beef brisket or pulled pork combo meal, $7 for a burger combo or $5 for a hot dog combo. Proceeds will directly benefit Boys and Girls Scout Troops 199.
