Volo seeking candidates to fill vacant village board seat

Candidates are being sought to serve as a trustee on the Volo village board.

An opening on the panel was created when Trustee Lesa Northam, who had served since 2017, moved outside the village.

The appointee will serve through April 2023. The remaining two years of the unexpired term will be filled at the municipal election at that time.

Candidates must be a registered voter and lived in the village for one year prior to appointment.

The board meets at 6 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of the month.

Those wishing to fill the post can submit a statement of interest and resume by July 22 to village Clerk Colleen Huhn at chuhn@villageofvolo.com. Explain why you are interested in serving and what knowledge and skills you would bring as a trustee.
