Resident suffers minor smoke inhalation during Aurora house fire

One person suffered minor smoke inhalation injuries during an early morning house fire Monday in Aurora.
Aurora fire officials said they were called to the split-level, single-family home on the 1000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue just after 1 a.m.
Firefighters encountered fire showing from the home upon arrival.
A 56-year-old male resident was taken to an area hospital, while a 57-year-old female resident was treated at the scene. No injuries were reported by firefighters.
The house was deemed uninhabitable, but the residents were able to find a place to stay while repairs are made to the home, fire officials said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
