Frontier Days seeks volunteers

Frontier Days organizers are seeking volunteers to assist with the return of the Fourth of July weekend festival in Arlington Heights after its two-year pandemic absence.

The all-volunteer committee has as many as 600 open volunteer spots to fill in areas such as food service, monitoring gates, and helping with events and Disability Day activities for special needs patrons. To sign up for a shift, visit frontierdays.org and click on the volunteer schedule signup link.

Volunteers also can sign up in person at 7 p.m. Thursday before the committee's next general meeting at the Arlington Ridge Center, 660 N. Ridge Ave.

The fest offers food, a carnival and free entertainment. It runs June 30-July 4 in Recreation Park.
