Kneseth Israel marks 130th anniversary with June 26 program

The Hadassah Elgin Chapter and Congregation Kneseth Israel are collaborating to provide historical context to the 130th anniversary of CKI's presence in Elgin. "Luminaries in the Evolution of the Elgin Jewish Community" will be presented by Richard Renner of the Elgin History Museum at 2 p.m. June 26 in the synagogue, 330 Division St.

Admission is $18 for adults, and free for children. Advance admission can be purchased by check made out to Hadassah and mailed to Hadassah, c/o Charles Zimmerman, P.O. Box 5866, Elgin, IL 60121-5866. To pay by credit card, call (847) 828-6090 during business hours to reserve admission. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
