Antique cars cruise into Glen Ellyn for Vintage Auto Fest

Classic car owners will show off their spiffed-up beauties on Saturday at the Glen Ellyn Vintage Auto Fest.

The Glen Ellyn Historical Society hosts the start-of-summer tradition. Vintage vehicles will go on display on the grounds of the Glen Ellyn History Center and Stacy's Tavern Museum starting at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Among the participating antique car collectors, historical society board member Jim Manak will again roll up to the show with his 1953 Cadillac.

Heavenly Hot Dogs will serve lunch between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Free lectures on historic autos will be held throughout the eighth annual fest in the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main St. Author P.J. HarteNaus will also sign books in the lobby.

Stacy's Tavern Museum will be open for tours, and Stacy's Corner Store is holding a sidewalk sale to coincide with the fest. The free event runs until 3 p.m.
