Q&A

What needs to be done to get Congress to work constructively, whether that be senators and representatives of both parties working with each other or Congress itself working with the president?

Publicly funded elections at the federal level

What is your position on changing voter access?

Laws should be enacted to make voting easier, but harder.

Do you recognize that the election of Joe Biden as president in 2020 was legitimate and fair? If not, why?

I do not believe the type of fraud Donald J. Trump alleges was committed in the 2020 presidential election, but I do believe all elections are inherently fraudulent. All elections in this country are inherently fraudulent because in this country, the candidate with the most money almost always wins.

PICO ACT

I agree with both my republican and democrat colleagues: we must enact legislation to protect the integrity of our electorate. If not introduced as a rider amendment to H.R.4, I will introduce The Politically, Influenced, and Corrupt Organization (PICO) Act, which will impose mandatory minimum sentences for those found guilty of financially influencing a local, county, state, or federal election AFTER Congress mandates all elections be publicly funded following the passage of the Make Your Vote Matter Again amendment.

What, if anything, should Congress do to prevent another violent attack such as the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the Capitol?

What do you consider America's role in world affairs? In particular, what should our role be regarding current points of tension involving Russia/Ukraine, the future of Taiwan or other threats of Chinese expansionism and the Middle East?

Ukraine: The response from the U.S. on the intelligence front has been fulsome enough, while the response from the U.S. and its allies as it relates to equipping the Ukrainians with the proper military infrastructure has not been fulsome enough. The United States must send heavy duty resources that will level the playing field between the for the Ukrainian freedom fighters.

China and Russia are the greatest threats to the stability of the world as we know it. China, like Russia, commits genocide every day against Uyghur people.

The only way to stop Chinese and Russian campaigns of genocide is to economically strangle them. All American and western companies must divest of all assets and operations in China in order to weaken the country's economy to the point that it teeters on the edge of collapse. China's economy must be pushed into a depression so that its people become so dissatisfied with their lives, that they rise up and revolt against the Chinese Communist Party.

Do you acknowledge humans' role in causing climate change? What steps should government be taking to address the issue?

Humans cause climate Change. Corporations are responsible for the vast majority of climate change in the world. AGGRESSIVE CLIMATE LEGISLATION

To date, most commitments and regulations enacted require companies to reduce a certain percentage of their carbon emissions by X date. The legislation I will introduce once sworn into Congress will be much more aggressive than any legislation introduced to date; my Climate First Act will require all American companies to be carbon negative by January 1st, 2025. The world is on the brink of death, and radical climate legislation can save it, but politicians must be brave enough to wage war against the oil industry and the politicians they own.

Please define your position on health care reform, especially as it relates to the Affordable Care Act.

I support Medicare for all. But, even if we have a system that allows Americans to access free healthcare, that healthcare will remain substandard unless we pay our nurses a fair and livable wage.

As a frontliner in the War against COVID-19, I am the only candidate prepared to lead the War against Corporate America's exploitation of the healthcare professionals (HCPs). Once elected Congressman, I will introduce the Healthcare Heroes Act (HHA), a bill that will:

1. AUTHORIZE $1,000 Healthcare Hero Stimulus Check payments to All nurses in America

2. GUARANTEE trauma treatment in new age trauma centers for all nurses in America

3. PROVIDE federal health insurance for all nurses in America

4. MANDATE compensation minimums for all nurses in America

5. ESTABLISH trust funds for all nurses in America to give them safety in retirement after they've served and healed this country

6. MANDATE all hospitals and clinics in America to allow free & fair union elections once a year

What immigration policies do you support? Where, if at all, do you see room for compromise to produce an effective policy on immigration? Does the government have any responsibility toward Dreamers who were brought to the United States illegally as children and are now adults? How will these policies affect your district?

Immigration reform is long overdue, but the solution must be bipartisan to beat the filibuster.

What can be fixed now is how folks are held while being processed. I will advocate for a Federal Humanitarian Legion to be established. The Legion will hire bilingual community health nurses to case manage individual immigrants or entire families through our broken immigration process. We must construct habitable and humane housing for families and replace the cages that we've become accustomed to seeing under the Obama and Trump administrations. the legion staff will gain knowledge of how to streamline the immigration process.

Another strategy would be to encourage economic investments in the countries most of these refugees are fleeing from. We must find ways to support life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness in countries such as Ukraine, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Belize, and Mexico, so that their citizens do not resort to fleeing their own country for ours.
