Q. Why are you running for this office, whether for reelection or election for the first time? Is there a particular issue that motivates you?
A. I am running for McHenry County Board Member as a first-time candidate. I have the business acumen and leadership skills to compliment this role as a Constitutional Conservative that sees the need for following the rule of law and ensure our Rights are no longer eroded. My motivation is to not sit on the sidelines but to be an active advocate for the constituents of McHenry County who deserve transparency and be a voice for the people.
Q. If you are an incumbent, describe your main contributions. Tell us of any important initiatives you've led. If you are a challenger, what would you bring to the board and what would your priority be?
A. As a new candidate I have extensive regional/national experience in health care. I am President of SKD Consulting, a health care content expert and patient advocacy agency. I am a former small business owner effected by the current decisions government has made whereby after a successful year and a half moved to online sales. My years of being asked to join Boards and lead as Chairperson over large hospital corporations overseeing contracting and profit/loss positions me as an asset to the McHenry County Board.
Q. Describe your position regarding the balance between county spending and revenues as it exists today, then describe the chief threats you see looming and how the county should deal with them.
Q. County spending should be judicious and be utilized in areas that will enhance benefit and growth for the constituents of McHenry County. The greatest looming threat currently is if the county continues to vote Democratic Socialistic ideologies that continue to erode our Constitution and Bill of Rights for future generations. The county constituents need to vet every candidate to ensure they truly have resolutions to maintains our freedoms.
Q. How do you rate the county government on transparency and the public's access to records? If it's adequate, explain why. If you think improvements are needed, delineate them.
County government could always improve on making access to public records easier for all constituents by having clear concise protocols and transparent documents available timely to all the public who request them.
Q. What, if anything, should be done to improve automation and customer service in county offices? What steps should be taken to make that happen?
Continued education and training to employees would improve automation and customer service in county offices. Mentor programs have been successful and may be useful to the onboarding process of new county employees hence reducing wait times to constituents.
