One in serious condition after hit by vehicle in Round Lake Beach

A person was hospitalized in serious condition after being hit by a vehicle Saturday in Round Lake Beach, fire officials said.

The Greater Round Lake Fire Protection District said it responded to a medical call at 2:13 p.m. for a person who had been hit by a vehicle on the 1500 block of Melrose Avenue.

The person was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center and listed in serious condition, fire officials said.

No arrests were made on the scene, the department said. Round Lake Beach police have not commented.
