Q&A

What needs to be done to get Congress to work constructively, whether that be senators and representatives of both parties working with each other or Congress itself working with the president?

Work together

The incumbent votes 100% with Biden. She doesn't vote the issue. She votes the party way. The first step is implementing term limits on Congress. That will stop the overwhelming power of senior members of Congress. By limiting their power, we can find more common ground. Term limits will also help stop the influence of PACs and special interest groups. Members will go back to working for the people not the insiders.

What is your position on changing voter access?

People have lost faith in the electoral process. We need to restore it. Asking for an ID to vote doesn't hinder the process. You have to show ID everywhere including getting on a plane.

Do you recognize that the election of Joe Biden as president in 2020 was legitimate and fair? If not, why?

This question is not about helping our country. It is a 'gotcha question' playing politics. Our country is in deep trouble with inflation, GDP down, climbing interest rates, $30 trillion in debt, and a growing deficit. Why not a question about whether Biden should have been impeached over Afghanistan? As for your political question, the 2020 election showed that there are flaws in our system. As the next Congressman, I will work to restore people's faith in our electoral system.

What, if anything, should Congress do to prevent another violent attack such as the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the Capitol?

Another political 'gotcha question' not about governing this nation. Despite numerous requests, Speaker Pelosi failed to have enough law enforcement at the capital. I would elect a new Speaker.

What do you consider America's role in world affairs? In particular, what should our role be regarding current points of tension involving Russia/Ukraine, the future of Taiwan or other threats of Chinese expansionism and the Middle East?

While my heart goes out to the people of Ukraine, we should not sacrifice one American life to secure their borders. We should immediately reverse Biden's energy policies so that our nation is once again energy independent. Our country should not be dependent on the Saudi's or Russia for oil. By being energy independent, we will be cutting their funding especially for Russia which stifles their military funding. It would be devastating to our country if China takes over Taiwan. The best way to address this situation is tariffs on Chinese products and economic sanctions. In the long run, we need to bring back manufacturing to the United States.

Do you acknowledge humans' role in causing climate change? What steps should government be taking to address the issue?

As a father, I want to leave the environment in better shape for the next generation. I believe that we should use the carrot approach for businesses and households. We give people incentives to be environmental sensitive such as tax breaks for buying electrical cars.

Please define your position on health care reform, especially as it relates to the Affordable Care Act.

Obama lied! We could not keep our doctors or our insurance plans. My goal will be to make quality care affordable and accessible. I support repealing ACA. However, I strongly believe that people with preexisting conditions should not be barred from purchasing insurance. I will work to allow people to buy health insurance across state lines giving them more options and better prices. I will also support allowing small businesses to band together so that they can lower their insurance rates. We also need to create transparency within the health care system. People need to know how much care, procedures, medications etc. cost up front. Finally, I am for tort reform which will bring down health care costs.

What immigration policies do you support? Where, if at all, do you see room for compromise to produce an effective policy on immigration? Does the government have any responsibility toward Dreamers who were brought to the United States illegally as children and are now adults? How will these policies affect your district?

Our first job is to secure the border. We are being invaded and our president has turned a blind eye to the crisis which ends up on our streets with more drug trafficking and gang violence. Once, the borders are secure, the next step is deporting all criminal illegal immigrants. The third step is improve our current system of immigration so that people can come here legally.
