Watch: Democrats Mary Edly-Allen and Sam Yingling debate who's best for Illinois Senate District 31

The two Democratic candidates for Illinois Senate District 31 met with Daily Herald representatives to discuss issues, how they'll run their campaigns and who's most electable.

State Rep. Sam Yingling and former state Rep. Mary Edly-Allen will compete in the June 28 primary to determine who will face off against the Republican candidate in the general election in the fall.

The two addressed reproductive rights, property tax relief and their track records in state government. District 31 includes much of central and northern Lake County.
