Grayslake program to focus on light pollution's effect on birds

The program "Dim the Lights for Birds at Night" will be presented at 7 p.m. Wednesday, at the Grayslake village hall, 10, Seymour St.

Featured speakers are Dale Dellutri of the Skokie Valley Astronomers and Diane Rosenberg of the Lake County Audubon Society. Dellutri will discuss the problem of artificial light at night. Rosenberg will focus on general and locally specific migratory patterns. Both will be available to answer questions.

The presentation is part of an international campaign for World Migratory Bird Day. This year's theme focuses on the effects of light pollution on migratory patterns.
