Comic book creators to greet fans in Libertyville

Daily Herald senior writer Russell Lissau will be among the comic book creators celebrating Free Comic Book Day Saturday at Dreamland Comics, 105 W. Rockland Road in Libertyville.

An annual industry event, Free Comic Book Day promotes comic book reading. Stores across the nation will give away specially printed comics. Many will host appearances by creators.

At Dreamland, Lissau will be joined by creators Alan Evans, Trevor Mueller and Mark Stegbauer. They will have books and art for sale and will be drawing free sketches for kids starting at 10 a.m. and for most of the day.
