Plans announced for Naperville Memorial Day parade

Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873, American Legion Post 43 and the Naperville Municipal Band have announced details about the Memorial Day parade next month in downtown Naperville.

The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. near Jackson Avenue and West Street, and proceed east to Washington Street, north to Benton Avenue and east to Ellsworth Street. Groups wishing to participate in the parade should visit napervillememorialdayparade.com for information.

No handouts or candy will be distributed during the parade.

Immediately following the parade, an observance ceremony will be held in Central Park at the Community Concert Center. The ceremony is expected to begin shortly after noon and will include guest speakers and music from the Naperville Municipal Band.
