Blood drive set at Elmhurst University on April 28

Elmhurst University's Film Club is teaming up with the charitable group A Pint for Kim for a blood drive on campus from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, April 28.

The blood drive will be in the Frick Center, Alexander Room, 190 S. Prospect Ave. Appointments are encouraged, though walk-ins also are welcome.

A photo ID and email address are required to donate, and donors are encouraged to eat a healthy meal, drink plenty of water, limit energy drinks and be well-rested before donating.

All donors will receive a $10 e-gift card. To sign up, call or text (847) 305-9998 or visit Versiti Blood Center of Illinois at versiti.org/IL.

The blood drive is being held in honor of the school's 150th anniversary, and the blood drive's organizers are aiming to save up to 150 lives. One pint of blood can assist up to three people.

The third annual A Pint For Kim Blood Drive & Life Saving Festival will also be taking place on May 7. For more information, visit apintforkim.com.
