Learn how to use woody plants in your landscape

Landscaping ecologist Mary Fortmann will discuss landscaping with native woody plants at the Lake to Prairie Chapter of Wild Ones on Tuesday.

The meeting is in person from 7 to 8:15 p.m. at the Fremont public library, 1170 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein, but also will be available via Zoom. Registration is required at https://www.fremontlibrary.org/event/6023044.

Fortmann leads the award-winning Conservation@Home program in Lake County and has conducted more than 800 property consultations in which she helps people identify meaningful, eco-friendly projects. She'll discuss a palette of native woody plants to add color, texture, seasonal interest, screening, and healthy life to your property.
