Elgin man sentenced to 21 years for sex assaults, child porn
An Elgin man has been sentenced to a total of 21 years in prison for producing child pornography and sexually assaulting a child.
Jorge A. Gonzalez Munoz, 44, of the 900 block of Larkin Avenue, repeatedly assaulted the victim in April and May of 2020 and recorded one of the assaults, according to news release issued Thursday by the Kane County state's attorney's office.
He pleaded guilty to four felonies in January.
He must serve at least 85% of his sentence and received credit for 665 days in Kane County jail.
After his release, Gonzalez Munoz must register for life as a sex offender.
