Elmhurst University Jazz Festival returns to in-person performances starting Feb. 24

The Elmhurst University Jazz Festival is returning to live, in-person performances while offering online livestreams. The 55th annual Elmhurst University Jazz Festival runs from Feb. 24 through Feb. 27.

Headliners include the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra from New York (7:30 p.m. Feb. 26) and John Beasley's MONK'estra (7:30 p.m. Feb. 25). Guest artists also include trumpeter and recording artist Wayne Bergeron, saxophonist and composer Denis DiBlasio and Grammy-nominated trombonist Steve Wiest who join with the Elmhurst University Jazz Band (4:30 p.m. Feb. 27).

Student jazz bands from Harper College, College of DuPage, Roosevelt University, Purdue University and Michigan State University also perform starting at noon Feb. 27.

Campus visitors will be required to wear a mask during all indoor events, regardless of vaccination status. This requirement may change to reflect any new public health guidance.
