District 57 looking for to fill board vacancy

The Mount Prospect District 57 school board is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy left by the resignation of board member Kevin Bull, who is moving out of state.

The board is expected to appoint someone to fill Bull's seat within 60 days. The appointee will serve until the next general election in April 2023, at which time the seat will be added to the ballot for a two-year term.

Those interested in being considered must submit an

application by 8 a.m. Feb. 28. Email a resume to Roberta Flack, rflack@d57.org. Finalist interviews will be conducted in closed session at the board's March 3 meeting. The board will appoint the new member at its March 17 meeting.
