Naperville Park District earns state awards

The Naperville Park District recently earned a pair of awards from the Illinois Park and Recreation Association.

At last week's annual state conference, the park district won the Exceptional Workplace Award while Wolf's Crossing Community Park won the Outstanding Park Award for 2021.

The park district, which has about 100 full-time employees and nearly 1,000 seasonal and part-time staff members, will maintain the Exceptional Workplace designation for five years.

Wolf's Crossing earned its award in the category of state park districts with operating budgets of $5 million or more. The 33-acre facility was developed in one phase.
