Girls enjoy an enchanted hour at Fairy Fest in Des Plaines

Frosted Fairy Fest gave two dozen winged girls a chance to play games, make enchanted crafts, dance and have fun for an hour during a park district event at Cumberland Terrace in Des Plaines Saturday.

"Everything is fairy-themed," said park district staff member Erin Allegretti. "The little kids in the neighborhood come by and do some crafts, get together and have some fun and do stuff they really like."

After dancing and playing games, the fairies, ages 3 to 8, had a sparkled cupcake snack.
