No injuries in Prospect Heights house fire

There were no injuries from an attic fire Wednesday night in Prospect Heights.

The blaze started about 7:45 p.m. in a two-story home on the 100 block of Patricia Lane, according to a news release from the Prospect Heights Fire Department.

The fire was put out in about 20 minutes, according to the fire department.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The fire department encourages the residents to map out two ways to escape from their home in case of fire, maintain working smoke detectors and install sprinklers.
